Lors du premier confinement dans mon quartier, il r\u00e9gnait un silence assourdissant. Dans les rues, je ne croisais pas \u00e2me qui vive. Dans le m\u00eame temps, Leslie Kaplan a \u00e9crit un recueil de nouvelles L’aplatissement de la terre<\/em> (POL<\/em>) et m’a propos\u00e9 d’en adapter une. Un<\/em> ennemi invisible<\/em> est une rencontre entre ce texte et le sentiment d’\u00e9tranget\u00e9 que je ressentais pendant ce confinement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Synopsis de la nouvelle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une femme se met \u00e0 parler, elle parle d\u2019un ennemi invisible, on le reconna\u00eet d\u2019embl\u00e9e, il attaque partout, le monde entier est en proie \u00e0 ce fl\u00e9au, elle en parle \u00e0 sa fa\u00e7on, \u00e0 partir de ses peurs, de ses angoisses, \u00e0 partir de sa vie, de ses amours, on peut penser qu\u2019elle est folle, on peut se dire au contraire qu\u2019elle est extra lucide, elle parle du monde tel qu\u2019il est, de la solitude, de la nostalgie, du r\u00e9el, de maintenant, de ce qu\u2019elle sait et de ce qu\u2019elle voit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette femme, on l\u2019a voulue double, elle est \u00e0 la fois un personnage ancr\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 la plus actuelle, une figure quasi documentaire, et une fiction, une m\u00e9taphore de ce qui se passe en ce moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guy Girard<\/strong>
Il a exerc\u00e9 les m\u00e9tiers de camionneur en Martinique, de p\u00eacheur de corail en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, de libraire \u00e0 Paris, de photographe, de monteur de film et, enfin, de cin\u00e9aste. Il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plus de quatre vingt films de formats divers, des films musicaux s\u2019apparentant \u00e0 des po\u00e8mes ou \u00e0 des essais, des documentaires d\u2019observation et des portraits d\u2019artistes : David Lynch, Jean-Luc Godard, Aki Kaurism\u00e4ki, Brian Eno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leslie Kaplan<\/strong>
Ecrivaine fran\u00e7aise n\u00e9e \u00e0 New-York en 1943, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris dans une famille am\u00e9ricaine. Apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes de philosophie, d\u2019histoire et de psychologie, elle travaille deux ans en usine et participe au mouvement de Mai 68. Elle publie en 1982 L\u2019Exc\u00e8s-l\u2019usine – Hachette\/P.O.L., repris en 1987 aux \u00e9ditions P.O.L. Son livre est salu\u00e9 par Marguerite Duras et Maurice Blanchot. Depuis, elle publie des r\u00e9cits, des romans, des essais, du th\u00e9\u00e2tre, essentiellement chez P.O.L. Son travail est souvent adapt\u00e9 pour le th\u00e9\u00e2tre (Claude R\u00e9gy, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Lolli\u00e9e, \u00c9lise Vigier, Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, etc.) et ses livres sont traduits dans une dizaine de langues. Elle a re\u00e7u le prix Wepler en 2012 pour Millefeuille et le Grand Prix de la SGDL 2017 pour l\u2019ensemble de son oeuvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isabelle Gozard<\/strong>
Com\u00e9dienne et autrice, elle a collabor\u00e9 \u00e0 deux opus de la collection initi\u00e9e par Guy Girard en complicit\u00e9 avec des \u00e9crits de Leslie Kaplan.
