Making Sense (concept originale – <\/strong>Lorna Collins<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

regroupe des artistes et penseurs de tous bords qui se donnent pour objectif  d\u2019ouvrir des voies de recherche et de dialogue entre les modes de faire et de penser, en art et en philosophie. Tel que nous l\u2019entendons, Making sense (\u00ab faire sens \u00bb) se pose comme un acte de r\u00e9flexion qui engage autant les sens que la raison et qui embrasse des pratiques vari\u00e9es, inscrites dans le contexte contemporain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notre colloque inaugural, qui s\u2019est tenu \u00e0 Cambridge en septembre 2009 \u00e0 partir de textes de Jean-Luc Nancy, a r\u00e9uni une quarantaine d\u2019artistes et de th\u00e9oriciens qui ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des interventions orales, des vid\u00e9os et des performances de th\u00e9\u00e2tre ou de danse. Devant le succ\u00e8s de cette initiative, nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de renouveler l\u2019exp\u00e9rience en nous retrouvant en 2010 \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making Sense ( Original Concept – <\/strong>Lorna Collins <\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong> is a loose and expanding collective of artists and thinkers engaged in ‘making sense’, which, as we conceive it, denotes an act of reflection that is at once theoretical and practical, accessible, and inclusive.  While diverse in our practices and our disciplines, we have a common striving to cross between modes of doing and thinking art and philosophy, especially within the contemporary context.  We held our inaugural colloquium in September 2009 in collaboration with Jean-Luc Nancy at the University of Cambridge.  The event drew together about forty artists and theoreticians who brought forward interventions in the form of oral presentations, video, performance, theatre and dance. In the face of the success of this initiative, we meet again in 2010 in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
