\u00ab\u00a0C’est pour mieux te manger\u00a0\u00bb – chap 3, is a scenographic installation that mixes realism and enchantment through the diversion of everyday objects, finding its essence in an iconography strongly linked to the art of the table, folk tales and the world of entertainment. The installation, presented in October 2019 at the Commines space, questions our relationship to food, both physical and emotional, but today it resonates in a disturbing way with our current events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tout d\u2019abord il y a cette cr\u00e9ature mi loup mi fillette (qui par un effet de jeu de lumi\u00e8re et d\u2019ombre chinoise port\u00e9e sur le mur d\u2019exposition) qui domine un village miniature pos\u00e9 au sol, ce qui a pour effet de mettre en \u00e9vidence la grande vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 et fragilit\u00e9 de la ville miniature face \u00e0 cette menace \u00e9ventuelle.
Il y a \u00e9galement cette id\u00e9e de solitude et \u00abd\u2019isolement\u00bb qui est renforc\u00e9e par la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une table de restaurant mise avec un seul couvert et une assiette t\u00eate de loup pos\u00e9e dessus (encore une r\u00e9flexion sur notre fa\u00e7on de nous nourrir).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Il semblerait donc que cette table serve de lieu d\u2019approvisionnement alimentaire mais elle est surtout devenu le point d\u2019appui et de recherche d\u2019un individu, (cahiers et croquis pos\u00e9es sur la table\u2026) Un individu qui aurait donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de se replier sur lui-m\u00eame ; Une mise en recule qui semble ici n\u00e9cessaire pour mieux comprendre et appr\u00e9hender une situation in\u00e9dite.

Face \u00e0 cette table, quelques m\u00e8tres devant, un rideau rouge, similaire aux rideaux de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, encore ferm\u00e9. La lumi\u00e8re du projecteur est dirig\u00e9e vers les deux p\u00e2tes avant d\u2019un loup sortant tout juste de dessous les rideaux ; la b\u00eate semble en posture calme, dans l\u2019attente ; comme une avant-premi\u00e8re qui tarderait \u00e0 se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re \u00e0 la b\u00eate et \u00e0 nous.

Ce rideau de th\u00e9\u00e2tre est un peu comme une sc\u00e8ne encore ferm\u00e9e qui nous d\u00e9voilerait peut \u00eatre plus tard, un monde nouveau ou ancien qui se renouvellerait enfin ou pas \u2026 Cette \u00ab b\u00eate \u00bb mena\u00e7ante (et que l\u2019on entend gr\u00e2ce aux pistes sons de l\u2019installation qui sont des bruits de mastications) se d\u00e9cidera-t-elle \u00e0 nous d\u00e9vorer ou nous \u00e9pargnera-t-elle ? Et si cette cr\u00e9ature \u00e9trange n\u2019\u00e9tait en fin de compte qu\u2019une face cach\u00e9e de nous-m\u00eame, non assum\u00e9e ? Allons-nous alors accepter notre nature profonde et prendre part \u00e0 ce qui se d\u00e9roulera par la suite et se d\u00e9cider \u00e0 jouer, voir \u00ab occuper \u00bb notre v\u00e9ritable r\u00f4le ?<\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artiste franco-tunisienne, form\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, Nadou Fredj oriente principalement ses cr\u00e9ations vers le th\u00e8me de l\u2019enfance. Issue d\u2019une famille de restaurateurs elle puise son inspiration dans une iconographie fortement li\u00e9e aux m\u00e9tiers de bouche. Son travail plastique questionne l\u2019identit\u00e9 personnelle au-del\u00e0 des barri\u00e8res culturelles et sociales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
