Born in Tel Aviv–Jaffa, Margalit Berriet holds a Master of Fine Arts from New York University – Tisch School of the Arts. She is an associate research artist at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Portugal (www.ipt.pt), and has lived in Paris since 1988. As an artist, she has initiated multidisciplinary projects, events, and educational programmes to foster understanding of cultures and diversity, promoting intercultural dialogue and respect for all life. Her work has been realised in collaboration with UNESCO-MOST, CIPSH, Apheleia, The Jena Declaration (TJD), the Académie de Paris, City of Paris, Louvre, Quai Branly, Centre Georges Pompidou, and others (see here ).

She is the co-author, with P. Creveaux, of Du dessin au symbole: une grammaire pour l’humanité (2010) and has published numerous essays and short works.

Elle est titulaire d’une licence en Philosophie et Sciences Humaines de l’Université de Turin, puis a obtenu un diplôme de l’ICP – International Center of Photography. En tant que photojournaliste, elle documente la condition humaine de manière intime et personnelle. Ses travaux ont été publiés dans The New York Times, Le Monde, Newsweek, Courrier International, L’Espresso… Elle a également reçu le prix « 717 Lobby, ICP Alumni Fellowship Award » décerné par Cushman & Wakefield à New York.

Titulaire d’un diplôme en négociation et gestion commerciale, elle a dirigé de grandes équipes de transporteurs urgents et de sous-traitants pendant plus de 10 ans en tant que responsable transport et logistique. Musicienne autodidacte, secrétaire générale de S.O.S. Racisme antenne Les Antilles, elle s’est engagée pour des causes humanitaires.
